We at Jesus Film Project
encourage you to get involved in ministry
to
children anywhere and everywhere
you can. The time has come
for the significance of the "4-14
Window" to
be brought to the forefront of the
local church’s ministry strategy,
and for parents and churches to work
together in their respective God-given
roles to raise up spiritual champions,
minister to children in and through
your church, and engage them with
the gospel in your home and neighborhood.
What is the 4-14 Window?
The 4-14 Window represents a period of
opportunity (between
the ages of 4 and 14) to reach children
when they are most open to the gospel and
during which they are being profoundly
shaped in their cognitive, social, moral
and spiritual development.
In George Barna’s
new book "Transforming Your Children
Into Spiritual Champions,
" his research discovered that a person’s
lifelong behaviors and views are generally
developed when they are young—particularly
before they reach the teenage years. Barna
showed data indicating that in most cases
people’s spiritual beliefs are irrevocably
formed when they are pre-teens (from
